If you ever are thinking if Oregon would be a good place for elopements, engagements, or a photo sesh in general, I am here to say IT IS. Oregon provides pretty much everything that Washington's coast has, beautiful rock formations, long, stretched out beaches, and stunning views for sunsets. If you stick around longer and decide to travel down south, there are even more epic and gorgeous views that I always recommend to my couples.
Originally, I was only planned to photograph Aida's and Marston's wedding. But they had planned a last minute family trip down to Oregon and it happened at the same time I was visiting! Aida asked if I was available to shoot their engagement session while I were there and of course I said yes! HELLO! I will always share my travel plans in case I am in an area near you. Engagement sessions also gives my couples a chance to get to know me and see how I work before the wedding day.
(This time it just happened to be the other way ><)
Just like Washington, it was cloudy and POURING rain on the drive there, we did have a back up location at an Airbnb just in case, but as luck would have it, once we arrived it cleared up and even gave us some sunshine! Flexibility is always something I encourage, especially for outdoor session where sometimes weather can be unpredictable. I find that being in the moment and letting go will always make such memorable experiences, just like how this was for me. It was such a fun time hanging out with these two, we talked about life, had some drinks, and I found out they were having islander food at their wedding! Yess!!
Even though Aida and Marston were already engaged and planning their wedding, Marston thought about making this a sweet moment for his beautiful fiancée, who had not yet received her ring because it was being cleaned and sized, and surprising with her with it during the session! It was like being engaged all over again <3
So thankful and privileged to be able to create with extraordinary individuals, it gives me life and meaning when I am able to travel and work so closely with awesome like minded souls. Thank you for putting your trust in me, I can not wait to see you guys at your wedding day!
